The 2021 vintage presents a deep, intense ruby color. The nose is expressive and complex, offering a beautiful bouquet of ripe red berries, black cherry, and subtle notes of green bell pepper and dark chocolate. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and smooth, with velvety tannins and a well-balanced acidity that leads to a long, elegant finish with lingering notes of spice and oak.
Origin & Terroir
Crafted from grapes grown in the prestigious Colchagua Valley, Chile’s most renowned region for Carmenere. The vineyards benefit from a Mediterranean climate with warm, dry days and cool nights, allowing the grapes to achieve optimal ripeness while retaining their natural acidity. The soils, composed of alluvial deposits and clay, contribute to the wine’s structure and depth.
Food Pairing
This wine is a perfect companion to grilled red meats, lamb, or beef stews. It also pairs beautifully with rich pasta dishes or aged cheeses like cheddar or gorgonzola. For the best experience, decant for 30 minutes and serve at 18°C (64°F) in a large Bordeaux glass.
