Held at United Spirits’ private tasting room in Central, this meeting was a critical step in the development of the Honney Conti collection. Master blenders from France presented a selection of casks aged in different woods (French oak, sherry, virgin oak), each imparting unique flavors and aromas. Attendees sampled the spirits directly from the cask, evaluating their potential for future bottlings.
Key Highlights
The highlight was the selection of a rare cask of 25-year-old spirit, matured in sherry wood, for a limited-edition release. The master blender also demonstrated how to “nose” a cask, identifying key aromas that indicate quality and maturity. The session concluded with a unanimous vote on three casks to be bottled under the “Honney Conti XO Royal” label.

Future Initiatives
United Spirits will host bi-annual “Cask Selection” meetings to ensure a continuous pipeline of premium releases. The next meeting, “The Art of Blending,” will focus on creating new expressions by combining spirits from different casks. A “Cask Tracker” digital platform will also be launched, allowing collectors to follow the journey of their favorite casks from selection to bottling.
