Whiskey Cellar Tour
October 2023 • Qingdao Free Trade Zone
A deep dive into our whiskey aging process, featuring barrels from our oldest reserves. This exclusive tour for international partners offered a behind-the-scenes look at our whiskey production and a guided tasting led by our master blender.
← Back to EventsEvent Overview
This tour welcomed partners from Europe, Asia, and the Americas to our whiskey cellar in Qingdao. The master blender guided guests through the cellar, explaining how temperature, humidity, and wood type influence the aging process. Guests saw barrels of aging whiskey, from 5-year-old blends to 25-year-old single malts, and learned how each barrel contributes to the final product.
Key Highlights
The highlight was a “cask sampling” of a 10-year-old Sunny Land Single Malt, drawn straight from the barrel. Guests also saw the “Rare Bottle Archive,” a secure vault housing limited-edition and collectible whiskeys. The tour concluded with a tasting of three aged expressions, paired with artisanal chocolates.
Featured Products
The tasting featured these aged expressions:
- Sunny Land Single Malt S25 - Aged 25 years, smoky and complex
- Caribbean Blaze Bourbon 18 - Aged 18 years, rich with notes of oak and caramel
- Sunny Land Single Malt France - Finished in French oak, adding a unique twist
Future Initiatives
United Spirits will offer monthly “Whiskey Cellar Tours” for VIP clients and collectors. The next tour, “The Art of Blending,” will include a visit to the blending room and a hands-on blending workshop. A digital “Aging Tracker” will also be launched, allowing users to monitor the aging process of their own spirits.
